The Southern California community is invited to the debut of the annual Eid Festival in Downtown Anaheim. For the first time, Muslims in SoCal will unite in celebrating their holiday Eid-al-Fitr (Festival of the Fast-Breaking) that comes after the holy month of fasting Ramadan. This festival, hosted right in the heart of Anaheim, will be open to the public for the weekend of Saturday August 17th and Sunday August 18th from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Admission and parking is free so bring your family and friends and enjoy carnival rides, an exotic Bedouin tent display with animals, live entertainment and diverse cultural foods.
“Community celebrations are important to any city as they bring people together from all walks of life,” said Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait. “As neighbors gather with family and friends, opportunities to grow and create new bonds develop. Simply put, community celebrations make Anaheim a better place to live.”
